Moving from another ticketing platform

You don't have to move everything at once. Most organizers let their current platform finish what's already on sale and start the next event on Ateneo. Here's what that takes.

Start free, no cardSee it in action

Before you start

  • Download your attendee lists from your current platform as CSV files, while you still have access. Most platforms offer this from the event's report or order screen.
  • Check that your payouts from past events are settled.
  • Have a Stripe or PayPal account in your organization's name. If you already use one, you can use the same one here.

Step by step

  1. Create your organization. It's free, with no card.
  2. Draw your room, or start from the theater, tables or general admission template.
  3. Create the event and its sessions, with your prices by zone.
  4. Connect your Stripe or PayPal account in the panel. To sell, you'll need an Event Pass or the Pro plan.
  5. Publish, and swap the ticket link on your website and in your emails.

Bringing your people

Members, families or past buyers can come in as a list. Upload a CSV with the columns email, name, role, quota and group. Each person can then book up to their quota, and people in the same group share theirs. The list only grants access to book: it doesn't reserve seats by itself.

Tell people about the move in your own words, from your own address.

Tickets you've already sold

If an event moves partway through its sale, reserve the seats already sold so nobody else can take them. On the session screen, “Reserve for someone” lets you pick the seats, add the person's name and mark them as paid. On a paid plan, the API can do it in bulk.

QR codes from your old platform stay with that platform. At the door, look those people up by name in the Ateneo list and mark them in with one tap.

Running both for a while

  • Past events and their sales stay where they are, under that platform's terms.
  • Payments on Ateneo reach your own account from the first sale, so there's no new payout schedule to wait on.
  • If you'd like a hand, write to us. Email support is in English and Spanish.

What it costs

  • Free plan: one active event of up to 120 seats, for events you don't charge for.
  • Event Pass, one payment for one event with all its sessions: up to 300 tickets €19 (about $21), up to 1,000 tickets €39 (about $44), up to 3,000 tickets €79 (about $88). Tickets here means seats × sessions.
  • Pro, €179 a year (about $200): events all year in rooms of up to 1,000 seats, your own branding and your own email sender.
  • Your Stripe or PayPal fee on each payment is separate, under your own contract with them.

Questions

Can I import my old orders automatically?

There's no one-click import of orders from other platforms. You bring people in with a CSV list, and reserve seats already sold from the session screen or through the API.

Can my buyers keep their old tickets?

Yes, for events you leave on the old platform. For an event you move, reserve their seats in Ateneo and find them by name at the door.

Will I lose my data if I leave Ateneo later?

You can download each session's list as a CSV at any time. Your organization remains the controller of its audience's data.

Is there a contract?

An Event Pass is a one-off payment for one event. Pro is billed once a year.

Try it on your own room

Create your organization and draw your room. Nothing is public until you publish it, and the free plan needs no card. Email support is in English and Spanish.
