Reserved seating without per-ticket fees

Draw your room in rows, tables or tiers, and let people pick their seat right on the chart. Ateneo charges a flat plan price. Every payment goes straight into your own Stripe or PayPal account, so there's nothing per ticket and nothing held back.

What a per-ticket fee adds up to

Take a 500-seat theater with four performances: 2,000 tickets at $20. A fee of 3% plus $1 per ticket, used here as an example, comes to $3,200 if you sell out.

On Ateneo, an Event Pass covering those 2,000 tickets is a single payment of €79 (about $88), whatever you sell. Your payment processor's own fee applies, as it does anywhere.

The seating chart is yours

  • Start from a template or draw your own in the browser: rows, aisles, round or rectangular tables, tiered seating.
  • Wheelchair spaces, extra-wide seats and left-handed tablet-arm seats are marked on the chart.
  • Color zones with their own price, plus early-bird pricing until a date you set.
  • Mark the stage, restrooms, counters and other landmarks so people know what they're choosing.
  • A 3D view tilts the chart like a scale model of the room, and people can still pick a seat there.

Selling without double bookings

  • Each seat can be sold once, enforced by the database, even if two people click at the same moment.
  • Options to keep groups together and to avoid leaving single empty seats.
  • A waitlist that offers freed-up seats in order, and a waiting room for big on-sales.
  • Keyboard and screen-reader support, built to WCAG 2.2 AA.

On the day

  • Every seat has its own QR ticket, in the email and in the buyer's panel.
  • Scan at the door with your phone's browser. The list keeps working with no signal and syncs when it returns.
  • Look people up by name, email or seat when they arrive without their phone.
  • Download the list per session as a CSV, or print it.

What it costs

  • Free plan: one active event of up to 120 seats, for events you don't charge for.
  • Event Pass, one payment for one event with all its sessions: up to 300 tickets €19 (about $21), up to 1,000 tickets €39 (about $44), up to 3,000 tickets €79 (about $88). Tickets here means seats × sessions.
  • Pro, €179 a year (about $200): events all year in rooms of up to 1,000 seats, your own branding and your own email sender.
  • Your Stripe or PayPal fee on each payment is separate, under your own contract with them.

Questions

Does reserved seating cost extra?

No. The seating chart is included in every plan, including the free one.

When do I get the money?

Payment goes straight from your audience to your Stripe or PayPal account, without passing through Ateneo. It reaches your bank on your provider's payout schedule.

Can I sell in US dollars?

Yes. You choose your organization's currency, and both Stripe and PayPal handle dollars. Ateneo's own plans are billed in euros.

Who handles refunds and invoices?

You do, from your Stripe or PayPal account, because you're the seller. If you cancel an event, Ateneo notifies everyone who booked and gives you a list of who to refund.

Can I use it for a free event?

Yes. A free event of up to 120 seats costs nothing, with the same seating chart. People pick their seat and get a QR ticket.
