Questions
Frequently asked questions
When do I get the money?
Payment goes straight from your audience to your Stripe or PayPal account, without passing through Ateneo. From there it reaches your bank on your gateway's payout schedule.
Are there any other costs?
Your gateway's fee on each payment, as set in your contract with it. Ateneo only charges for the plan, and your audience pays the price you set.
What do I need to sell tickets?
An Event Pass or the Pro plan, and a Stripe or PayPal account in your organization's name. You connect it in your panel with your gateway's keys, and every sale goes into your account.
Does it work in my country?
Yes. Your audience sees Ateneo in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German or Italian, and every event shows in your venue's local time. You sell in your currency — euro, dollar, pound, Swiss franc, Mexican peso, Brazilian real, guaraní and many more — with your own Stripe account, or PayPal in the currencies it supports. Data is hosted in the EU.
Who issues invoices and refunds?
You do, from your gateway: you are the seller and the money is in your account. The payment terms set this out.
Does my audience need to create an account?
For open events, no: they see the event and pick a seat without an account. To book, they sign in with Google or with a link sent to their email, no passwords. For guest-list events, they first sign in with their access.
What does a Pass include?
One event with all its sessions, with ticket sales and your branding on the event and its emails. It's counted in tickets — room capacity × number of sessions: up to 300, 1,000 or 3,000 depending on the Pass. One-off payment.
What if my event is very large?
Above 3,000 tickets per event, or 20,000 a year on Pro, we work with the Dedicated plan: your own instance, sized for your volume, priced to fit. Write to us and we'll set it up.
Can I take payment at the box office or by bank transfer?
Yes. With no gateway enabled, the booking is marked “to pay” and you mark it as paid when you collect, in person or however you prefer.
What if my event is free?
The free plan covers one active event of up to 120 seats with free booking. For more capacity or to sell tickets, an Event Pass from €19.
